Project Overview:

Das Mahavidya — the Ten Wisdom Goddesses — represent a powerful lineage within Tantric and Vedic traditions. The client’s vision was to create a devotional, educational, and globally accessible platform that honours each Goddess’s individuality while holding the collective energy of the tradition.

We were entrusted to design and develop a website that would serve as both a living digital archive and an immersive spiritual journey, balancing modern usability with deep cultural reverence.

Objectives:

• Present the Ten Mahavidyas in a way that’s visually distinct yet spiritually cohesive
• Make the platform intuitive for both scholars and seekers
• Provide room for future expansion: mantras, meditations, videos, publications
• Create a mobile-friendly, fast, and serene user experience

Design & UX Approach:

• Divine Visual Identity: Each Mahavidya was represented with distinct colours, tones, and iconography, while the overall theme remained consistent and sacred
• Scroll-Based Exploration: Visitors are guided through a narrative journey of the Mahavidyas, allowing for reflective pauses and contemplation
• Responsive, Distraction-Free Layouts: Long-form text and teachings are supported by visual hierarchy and subtle animations
• Designed for Global Users: Typography and layout were optimised for readability across languages and screen sizes
